+A filtered resource is a resource that supports <I>filters</I> (see the\r
+<A HREF="../Introduction/architecture.html"><B>Jigsaw</B> architectural\r
+overview</A> if you're unfamiliar with this notion). By itself, a filtered\r
+resource doesn't define any new attributes, however, each of the filters\r
+attached to the resource maitains a shadow copy of the target resource attribute\r
+values. Hence, a filtered resource attribute value is looked up in the following\r
+fashion: first all its filters are queried for the looked-up attribute. If\r
+one of them defines the attribute, then this value is returned (this allows\r
+filters to shadow attribute values, based on the processing they do on the\r
+resource reply). Otherwise, the appropriate filtered resource attribute value\r
+is returned.\r
